About Kiewa Valley BESS
Important Updates
Trina Solar will be in Dederang next week on Wednesday, 29 May and Thursday, 30 May to run two 5-hour drop-in information sessions relating to their proposed Battery Energy Storage System on the Dederang-Yackandanah Road. You can find the flyer for the information sessions attached.
We are committed to addressing your questions and concerns as thoroughly as possible. However, please understand that there are some aspects we may not be able to update you on just yet, as Trina is still awaiting a few final technical reports from third-party experts.
Trina has engaged specialists in Hydrology, Fire Risk and Emergency Management, Traffic, Noise, Ecology, Landscape and Photomontage, and Planning. These reports are crucial for ensuring our project meets the highest environmental standards, and their findings will shape the final design and mitigation strategies, which are still being finalised.
Once we have these remaining reports, Trina will incorporate the recommendations into the project design and keep you updated through the Kiewa Valley BESS website.
In the meantime, we highly recommend you complete the online survey so we can gain stronger insight into the community and your concerns You can find it here. The findings from this survey will help inform the final development application, and all names and contact information will remain anonymous.
